So, Monday night against the Broncos, what is the Packers first play from scrimmage, run or pass?

I say pass.

You want to think run, because Denver is weak against the run and because McCarthy would love to establish the run early, and get set for the rest of the season. Opening with 3 runs for a first down would be huge and would really set the tone of the game.

However, I think Denver will be ready for that. They know that if the Packers run successfully early they will have almost no chance in the game on Monday. I think they come out against the run, stack the box, and rely on their premier corners to shut down the Pack.

That is why McCarthy will come out throwing. He wants to test those dinged up corners early and often. If they can establish the pass early, it will open up the run. Wynn is healthy and starting, and I think he gets 100 yards by the end of the game, but has less than 50 at the half.
